Dr. Daou has been a researcher for the past 18 years, during which he worked with the top European institutions, such as the Joint Research Centre in Ispra (Province of Varese, Italy) as well as the European Space Agency, the Dutch Meteorological Institute, European Lidar Network, Environment and Climate Change Canada, the AEROCAN network as well as working as an expert to evaluate projects for the European Commission.
Beside his proficient skills in space and atmospheric physics, Earth Observation, ground-based and satellite remote sensing, Dr. Daou is also known for his skills in ethical AI, data science and analytics, software programming and is currently a research manager for climate risks modelling at UNU-EHS in Bonn. He is also teaching AI and remote sensing courses for the Joint Masters program between UNU-EHS and the University of Bonn.
