Esther Simon Ngamba

My name is Esther Simon Ngamba, and I was born in the Tanzanian district of Bukoba Village in the Kagera region. I am a librarian with 21 years of expertise in the field. I previously worked in a public library for the Tanzania Library Services Board (TLSB). At the moment, I am employed by the academic library at the College of Business Education (CBE) in the city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I hold a diploma in that field of Librarianship, Archives, and Documentation studies, studied from 2005 to 2007 at SLADS College in the Bagamoyo district. I attended Tumaini University from 2010 to 2013 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in library and information studies. I completed a three-month short course on the Koha system in 2014 that was instructed in Japanese. I took a Library Innovation course through INELI’s SSAf cohort 1 from 2016 to 2018. My higher level of education is a Masters in IT for Project Management course studied at the College of Business Education from 2019 to 2021. I am the ambassador of UNESCO OER Recommendations and Open Knowledge promotion in Tanzania.
