María Dolores Souza Meyerholz

A chilean national, psychologist (Drs.) at Leiden University, The Netherlands. Has a Master’s degree in Communications at Diego Portales University (Chile) and Pompeu Fabra University (Spain). Was engaged at the broadcast regulator in Chile for 30 years as head of research, and developped an educational and cultural TV department within the organization and in 2010 initiated the Platform of Regulatory Authorities in the Ibero- American region (PRAI).  Has been researching the impact of media and technologic convergence on tradicional broadcasting regulatory institutions in different countries, including the latinamerican region. Currently, she is a board member of the educational Foundation Media Bus in Chile and member of the UNESCO Information For All (IFAP) working group on information accessibiliy.
