ByeongJo (Jo) Kong is a digital technology specialist at ADB, where he leads ADB’s AI and data analytics initiatives across its operations and in developing member countries. Previously, he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer for AI startups in the US and Korea, and conducted AI research at MIT Computer Science and AI Laboratory for over 3 years. He also worked for the United Nations for over 8 years, managing ICT capacity building initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. Jo holds a dual master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) and engineering management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and a dual bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and global management from Kyunghee University, Korea.
