Craig Shank

Craig Shank is a renowned strategic advisor, consultant, and speaker with a specialized focus on ethics, organizational governance, and best practices in AI, data, and emerging technologies. His expertise encompasses policy, regulation, and multistakeholder initiatives, with a strong emphasis on global legal and government affairs management and leadership. In this role, he also co-chaired the Reliability and Safety Working Group of Microsoft’s AETHER AI Ethics community. Prior to this, he led Microsoft International’s CELA teams from Paris, overseeing the company’s legal and government affairs operations across more than 50 national capitals worldwide. Before his tenure at Microsoft, Craig held various executive roles in business development, legal, and operations. He was notably a technology business partner at Perkins Coie, the largest law firm in the Northwest, where he contributed significantly to strategic legal and operational initiatives.
