Dr Meena D. Lysko is Managing Director of Move Beyond Consulting and an applied physicist working at the intersection of AI, information accessibility, and inclusive innovation. The name “Move Beyond” was deliberately chosen to reflect her commitment to work that goes beyond conventional consulting, creating lasting, impact-driven change for communities, industries, and society.
Meena leads initiatives that position artificial intelligence as a tool for equitable access to information and socio-economic inclusion. Her programmes translate AI into public-good outcomes and range from GIZ-supported projects on responsible AI and e-recruitment for SMMEs to workforce skilling. Her team’s MiWeather citizen-intelligence platform, which improves access to localized climate and market information, was showcased at the UN Youth Climate Summit.
Meena has contributed to global AI governance debates through the Internet Governance Forum and has authored work spanning sensing, energy data analytics, and applied AI. She has also advanced gender inclusion in AI through an inaugural bootcamp for unemployed graduates.
