Felipe Tobar is an Associate Professor at the Initiative for Data and Artificial Intelligence (IDIA), Universidad de Chile, since 2021. Between 2015 and 2020, Felipe was a Research Fellow at the Center for Center for Mathematical Modeling between 2015 and 2020. Felipe was a postdoc at the Machine Learning Group, University of Cambridge, during 2015 and he received a PhD in Signal Processing from Imperial College London in 2014. Felipe’s research interests lie in the interface between Machine Learning and Statistical Signal Processing. At Universidad de Chile, Felipe has been the Coordinator of the Master of Data Science (2020-2022) and Director of IDIA (2022-2024).
