L-F Pau has been an Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School since 2003 and has held the position of Professor of Mobile Business at the Rotterdam School of Management on a part-time basis since 2001. Since 2010 he has been an “Extraordinary” Professor at the University of Pretoria.From 1995 to 2003 he was C.T.O of L.M.Ericsson’s worldwide Network systems division (all communications and Internet infrastructure), with about 16000 reports. In 2003 he had an accident adding to his prior disability. Previously he was from 1990-1995, Technical Director Europe for Hewlett Packard with 2500 reports. He has also been tenured faculty at Danish Technical University (Lyngby), E.N.S. Télécommunications (Paris ), M.I.T. (Cambridge, Mass), and University of Tokyo. He is a Fellow of IEEE (USA), BCS (UK), and JSPS (Japan). He has several company Board and scientific advisory Board positions at the governmental level across Europe & Asia. He is or has been on several standardization boards, incl. IEEE Standards Board, ETSI, OMG, Rapid IO and Java Consortium. He is the associate editor of 5 academic journals, and has published over 450 articles, 9 books, 12 patents, and edited 12 volumes, spanning information and communication, physics, technology, social aspects, regulations and standards. Current projects are on Internet addiction, fiber optics, quantum biological computing, and more.
