Lv Shiming is a member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, president of the China Association of Volunteers for Persons with Disabilities, and vice-chairperson of the Seventh Presidium of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. For many years he has worked to advance the cause of people with disabilities and promote the development of an accessible environment in China, taking part in the entire legislative process of the Law on Building an Accessible Environment.
