Paulina Assmann

Physicist, PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Concepción, expert member of Chile’s
Quantum Technologies Advisory Commission, and CEO of SeQure Quantum. Former Regional
Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation for Chile’s south-central
macrozone, she has led significant projects such as the establishment of Centinela, the
measurement of SARS COV-2, and the drug surveillance system in Chile’s wastewater.

In 2022, she was recognized among the 100 Leading Women by El Mercurio, and she recently
received the award for “Outstanding Woman in Technological Entrepreneurship” at the Women Protagonists in Technological Innovation awards, organized by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) in collaboration with the Chilean Network of Technology Managers. Paulina has also served as a PROVOCA mentor for the American University Associations AUI/NRAO for over six years.

In 2023, together with the SeQure Quantum team, she received the Startup of the Year award from the Innovation supplement of El Mercurio and the Swiss Embassy. The team was also recognized with awards for Best Brand of the Year, Best Brand Positioning for a Startup, and Best Visual Identity System Design for a Startup.
