Her expertise in the spheres of data protection & privacy, technology law, telecommunication regulations, product compliance, safety standards & regulations, consumer law, medical device regulations, advertising regulations and environmental law empowers her clients to understand, implement and comply with a wide range of national, State as well as sector-specific legislations and regulations. She regularly provides end-to-end compliance counselling to clients across various industries and sectors including e-commerce, online value-added services sectors, software & technology services, telecom & media services, intermediaries, consumer goods, consumer electronics, and medical devices. 

While Suvarna’s experience spans various areas under trade and regulatory compliances, she specializes in data protection, data privacy and cyber security related laws and regulations. She has extensive experience with providing advisory support to Indian, international and multi-national corporations on a variety of issues relating to data protection compliances, privacy, cross-border transfer of data, data localisation, data breach and cyber security.

Throughout her career Suvarna has also worked closely with Government Affairs teams of corporations to prepare strategic policy content, representations and formal communications for the Government pertaining to policy development, policy reform and compliance fulfilment related efforts. Additionally, she has litigation experience in IP matters pertaining to copyright and trademark infringement, passing off, and domain name disputes.

Suvarna has contributed to several legal publications and is a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association as well.
